ORCHIDS FOR HOSPICE

“The quintessential Mother’s Day Shopping Experience”

Please join us for a day of flowering abundance Saturday May 7, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.

Local growers and retailers will display a vast assortment of blooming orchids for silent auction. Prizes awarded for the most Unique, Exotic, Beautiful & Rare Orchids. Saint Johns County’s leading experts in orchid growing and care will do the judging.

All proceeds will help benefit the BAILEY FAMILY CENTER FOR CARING of COMMUNITY HOSPICE OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA on the campus of Flagler Hospital.

Orchid donations accepted from retailers and independent growers through Saturday May 7, 2011. Individuals who wish to contribute by purchasing an orchid to be auctioned off are asked to visit or contact:

Donations may be dropped off between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event at the Yacht Club, 442 Ocean Vista Avenue, Saint Augustine.

Donations of Fresh Orchids from retailers and independent growers will be accepted at Amici Restaurant’s Banquet Room, 19158 A1A South on Anastasia Island, Friday May 6, 2011 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

We are in need of cash donations to help with the purchase of Orchids for Auction and Gift Certificates for door prizes.

This open house event is FREE to the public and will feature door prizes, lite hors d’ourves and entertainment at the Saint Augustine Yacht Club, 442 Ocean Vista Avenue, Saint Augustine.

Members of the Saint Augustine Junior Service League will be instrumental in organizing and promotion of this event. We greatly appreciate your support and participation!

BAILEY FAMILY CENTER FOR CARING OF COMMUNITY HOSPICE OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA— For more than 30 years, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida has provided specialized end-of-life care for adults and children with all types of life-limiting illnesses, along with a wide variety of support services for family members. Focused on providing comfort, maintaining the dignity of the individual, and improving quality of life.

The Bailey Family Center for Caring opened to patients in late January 2011. The Bailey Family Center improves access to inpatient hospice care for people in Saint Augustine and Saint Johns County. At approximately 11,000 square feet, Community Hospice’s new inpatient facility adjoins Flagler Hospital with a private entrance from the hospital’s parking areas. The center includes 12 inpatient beds in private rooms in a unique homelike setting.
